About The Author
My name is Michael Charge and I’m a UK based games developer. In my spare time, I’m also a keen wargamer. I’m working on several other projects for wargaming (including this blog). In 2017 I was the co-author on the latest
I’m currently based in Edinburgh working for a major AAA games development studio. Before that, I worked as a mobile developer in Brighton. I spent 4 years at university, first achieving a BSc in Computing at Teesside University and then a year getting an MProf in Games Development at Abertay University.
HNTDAAB (Or How NOT To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb) was (once upon a time) a blog detailing the works of Michael Charge, back when I was an aspiring games developer/journalist. The blog originally started back in August 2008 as a personal blog before increasing to a multi-person site in Summer 2009. After a database issue in March 2010, the site was restarted again as a general purpose blog.
After a long time doing not a huge amount with the site I decided to focus on wargaming as it started to become a hobby. By focusing on Modern Wargaming (a niche subject) and writing my first rules comparison in November 2016, I started to attract more attention to the site. Since May 2017 the blog became focused on producing two posts a week, with Wargaming Week on Mondays and Something for the Weekend feature posts on Friday.
Finally, in November 2017, the blog became wargaming only with all previous posts moved to safety into an archive. I now consider the site like a weekly magazine, with an update and new content every week.
